Electrical Engineering
About this role
About the Role We're looking for Electrical Engineering experts to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to power systems to signal processing. This is a unique opportunity to work at the frontier of AI development, contributing to models used by the world's leading AI research labs — all on your own schedule, fully remote. - Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do - Design Challenging Problems — Develop advanced electrical engineering problems across domains including circuit analysis, power systems, electromagnetics, signal processing, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance - Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions and "golden responses" that serve as benchmarks for AI learning - Audit Technical Accuracy — Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC) - Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps or errors in AI-generated engineering reasoning and provide structured feedback to improve model performance - Stress-Test the Model — Probe AI capabilities in areas like embedded systems, VLSI, robotics, and engineering simulations — documenting failure modes to strengthen AI reasoning Who You Are - Pursuing or completed a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field - Strong foundational expertise in one or more core domains: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or signal processing - Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and precisely in written form - Detail-oriented with a high level of precision when reviewing equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation - Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously - No prior AI experience required Nice to Have - Experience with data annotation, data quality, or evaluation systems - Familiarity with AI or language model workflows - Background in simulation tools or CAD software for circuit and system design Why Join Us - Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top-tier research labs and teams - Fully remote and flexible — work when and how much you want - Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration - Directly influence how next-generation AI models understand engineering - Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
