No AI background needed — just deep domain expertise and a commitment to scientific rigor. - Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do - Develop, solve, and review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance - Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fields to design complex problem statements - Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to sharpen AI model reasoning - Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, depth, and rigor - Ensure clarity, precision, and scientific integrity across all deliverables - Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule Who You Are - Masters or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, etc.) - Deep expertise in one or more of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics - Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or analytical tasks - Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can translate complex science into precise, readable language - Detail-oriented, self-directed, and reliable when working independently - Fluent in English Nice to Have - Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems - Background in science writing, academic publishing, or peer review - Familiarity with AI tools or large language model evaluation workflows - Experience designing or assessing problem sets, curricula, or research exercises Why Join Us - Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside the world's leading research labs - Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you - Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, intellectually stimulating work - Put your advanced scientific training to use in a high-impact, forward-looking field - Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
