We're looking for experienced infrastructure and network security practitioners to help us make AI smarter about cybersecurity. Your real-world expertise in network defense, endpoint security, and incident analysis will directly shape how AI systems understand, reason about, and respond to modern security threats. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of hands-on security work and frontier AI development. - Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week - Location: Remote — work from anywhere, on your own schedule What You'll Do - Analyze real-world network, endpoint, and email security scenarios across modern enterprise environments - Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to determine root causes and failure modes - Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on realistic operational data - Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI systems - Provide clear, structured explanations of security issues, attack chains, and business impact Who You Are - 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles - Solid familiarity with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security, IAM, SIEMs, and enterprise security tooling - Deep understanding of how real organizations deploy and operate security controls at scale - Able to clearly communicate technical findings — root causes, impact, and remediation — in plain language - Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments Nice to Have - Experience with threat hunting, incident response, or red/blue team operations - Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS Controls - Background in cloud infrastructure security (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Prior experience with AI evaluation or data labeling workflows Why Join Us - Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs - Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours and work at your own pace - Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually engaging work - Contribute to AI that will define how security challenges are understood and solved - Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
