About the Role We partner with the world's leading AI research teams and labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. Right now, we're looking for experienced cloud security practitioners to help us develop datasets and evaluations focused on cloud security and modern infrastructure. This isn't a theoretical role. We want people who have seen how cloud environments actually break — and can bring that real-world perspective to help AI reason better about security. - Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do - Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks and failure patterns - Review IAM, networking, storage, and container security issues in realistic contexts - Classify security gaps, misconfigurations, and cloud-related failures based on real-world impact - Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning so it accurately reflects how cloud incidents unfold - Provide structured, expert feedback that directly shapes how AI understands cloud security Who You Are - 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production - Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security - Familiar with real-world misconfigurations and security incidents — not just theory - Able to reason clearly about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact - Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments Nice to Have - Experience with cloud security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, etc.) - Background in incident response, penetration testing, or cloud architecture - Familiarity with AI evaluation workflows or data labeling projects Why Join Us - Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs - Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule - Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually engaging work - Contribute to AI that needs to understand security the way real practitioners do - Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
