About the Role We're looking for French language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on French-language content. Your linguistic insight and teaching background will directly shape how AI understands, generates, and teaches French — making a real impact on one of the world's most widely spoken and studied languages. - Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: Minimum 15 hours/week, fully asynchronous What You'll Do - Evaluate AI-generated French speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality - Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+ - Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps using expert judgment - Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and culturally appropriate French - Provide structured, actionable feedback that improves AI tutoring and language-learning models - Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts Who You Are - Native or near-native fluency in French - Experience teaching French or evaluating learner language - Strong written communication skills in both French and English (C1/C2) - Solid familiarity with learner speech patterns and CEFR frameworks - Currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher - Attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment - No prior AI experience required Nice to Have - Experience with language assessment, curriculum design, or standardized testing - Exposure to AI-powered language tools or educational technology - Comfort working independently in structured, asynchronous workflows Why Join Us - Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top research labs - Fully remote and asynchronous — work entirely on your own schedule - Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration - Contribute to meaningful work that improves AI language education for French learners worldwide - Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
