This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience needed — just deep expertise in biology and a commitment to scientific excellence. - Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do - Develop, solve, and review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance - Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fields to design complex, rigorous problem sets - Evaluate AI-generated biological content for scientific accuracy, depth, and clarity - Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to improve AI model reasoning in the life sciences - Ensure scientific rigor, precision, and quality across all deliverables Who You Are - Holds a Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field — Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or similar - Strong expertise in one or more of: genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or molecular biology - Comfortable working with Python or R for research, data analysis, or scripting - Exceptional written communicator — able to explain complex concepts with clarity and precision - Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable when working independently - Fluent in English Nice to Have - Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows - Background in computational biology or systems biology - Experience writing for scientific publications, grant proposals, or technical documentation - Familiarity with AI tools or large language model evaluation as an end user Why Join Us - Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside the world's leading AI research labs - Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you - Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based scientific work - Make a direct impact on how AI reasons about biology, medicine, and the life sciences - Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
