About the Role We're looking for physics Masters graduates and current students to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your deep understanding of physics will directly shape how AI reasons through complex scientific problems — making a real impact on the next generation of intelligent systems. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role working alongside world-leading AI research labs. No prior AI experience needed — your physics expertise is what matters. - Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do - Design advanced physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more - Develop rigorous, step-by-step solutions that test the depth of AI reasoning - Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, logical consistency, and quality - Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level topics - Provide structured, detailed feedback that directly improves AI model performance Who You Are - Currently pursuing or have completed a Masters degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field - Strong problem-solving skills across multiple advanced physics domains - Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing - Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating reasoning - Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously - No prior AI or data annotation experience required Nice to Have - Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic benchmarking - Familiarity with AI or large language model workflows - Background in research, tutoring, or technical writing Why Join Us - Work on frontier AI projects alongside top-tier research labs and institutions - Fully remote and asynchronous — work whenever and wherever suits you - Freelance flexibility: high autonomy, no rigid schedules, global reach - Contribute to meaningful work that advances scientific reasoning in AI - Ongoing contract opportunities with potential for renewal and expansion
