About the Role We're looking for experienced economists with a public policy background to help shape how AI understands and reasons about the real world. Your expertise will directly influence the quality of AI-generated policy analysis — making it more rigorous, accurate, and grounded in real economic thinking. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role powered by Alignerr (by Labelbox), working alongside top AI research labs on cutting-edge language model development. - Organization: Alignerr (Powered by Labelbox) - Type: Hourly / Task-Based Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do - Review and evaluate AI-generated public policy questions, analyses, and explanations used in AI training - Assess economic reasoning related to regulation, public welfare, taxation, and government programs - Provide structured, detailed feedback to improve the clarity, rigor, and real-world applicability of AI outputs - Apply your applied economics knowledge to validate scenarios, conclusions, and policy tradeoffs - Work independently and asynchronously — on your own schedule, at your own pace Who You Are - 3+ years of experience working or teaching in public policy, applied economics, or a related field - Strong command of policy analysis frameworks and economic tradeoff reasoning - Able to critically evaluate written economic arguments and policy recommendations - Skilled at providing clear, constructive written feedback - Self-directed and comfortable working in a remote, task-based environment Nice to Have - Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a closely related discipline - Professional experience in government agencies, think tanks, or policy research institutions - Familiarity with AI systems or content evaluation workflows Why Join Us - Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top research labs - Fully remote and flexible — design your own schedule - Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration - Contribute to meaningful work that improves how AI handles real-world economic and policy challenges - Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
