We're looking for Biology experts with advanced degrees to help build and refine cutting-edge AI models. You'll bring your specialist knowledge to bear on complex, real-world biology problems — ensuring AI systems think with the rigor and depth that the field demands. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just deep command of your discipline and a commitment to scientific precision. - Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do - Develop, solve, and critically review advanced biology problems with real-world relevance - Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related areas to design complex, nuanced problem statements - Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, rigor, and depth - Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance model reasoning - Ensure scientific clarity and correctness across all deliverables - Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule Who You Are - Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, etc.) - Deep expertise in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics - Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or analytical tasks - Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can explain complex science with precision and accessibility - Detail-oriented and methodical — scientific rigor is non-negotiable for you - Fluent in English Nice to Have - Prior experience with data annotation, data labelling, or AI evaluation workflows - Background in peer review, academic writing, or science communication - Familiarity with computational biology tools or bioinformatics pipelines - Experience designing or grading advanced coursework or research problems Why Join Us - Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs - Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you - Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, intellectually stimulating work - Make a direct, lasting impact on how AI understands and reasons about biology - Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
