About the Role We partner with the world's leading AI research teams and labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. Now we're looking for data security professionals who understand how real-world data leaks happen — and can translate that expertise into training materials that teach AI systems to reason about sensitive information risk. This is a unique opportunity to apply your hands-on security knowledge to frontier AI development, working remotely on your own schedule. - Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do - Analyze realistic data security and DLP scenarios spanning cloud, SaaS, and enterprise environments - Classify data sensitivity levels, exposure paths, and policy violations - Evaluate prevention, detection, and incident response strategies across a range of scenarios - Generate, label, and validate data security cases used to train and evaluate AI systems - Help AI models develop accurate, nuanced reasoning about how sensitive information is exposed and protected Who You Are - 2+ years of experience in data security, compliance, or security operations - Familiar with DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and privacy or regulatory concepts (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA) - Practical understanding of how data risk plays out in real-world environments — not just theory - Able to clearly articulate security reasoning in written form - Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments Nice to Have - Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or SaaS security controls - Background in security operations, incident response, or data governance - Familiarity with AI training or data annotation workflows Why Join Us - Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs - Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours and workload - Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and collaboration with a global expert community - Apply your security expertise in a new and meaningful way - Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
