About the Role We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to signal processing to control systems. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your hours, work independently, and contribute to some of the most advanced AI research happening today. - Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week --- What You'll Do - Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and embedded systems to probe AI reasoning and expose its limits. - Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation. - Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated circuit diagrams, mathematical proofs, and code for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC). - Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps and flawed reasoning in AI outputs, then provide structured, expert feedback to guide model improvement. --- Who You Are - Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field - Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core domains: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or signal processing - Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and precisely in written form - Exceptionally detail-oriented when working with equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation - No prior AI experience required — your engineering expertise is what matters Nice to Have - Prior experience with data annotation, technical writing, or evaluation systems - Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.) - Background in standards compliance or engineering documentation --- Why Join Us - Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects alongside world-leading research teams - Fully remote and asynchronous — work when and where it suits you - Freelance flexibility: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration - Gain rare insight into how advanced large language models are built and trained - Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
