This is a unique opportunity to apply your hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure to directly influence how frontier AI models reason about security. If you've dealt with real-world misconfigurations, IAM blunders, or cloud incidents, your expertise is exactly what we need. - Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do - Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, misconfigurations, and failure patterns - Review and evaluate IAM policies, networking configurations, storage access controls, and container security issues - Classify security gaps and real-world cloud failures based on their business impact and blast radius - Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning to ensure it reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold - Provide structured, expert feedback that directly shapes how AI understands cloud security Who You Are - 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production - Strong familiarity with cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security concepts - Experience identifying and reasoning through real-world misconfigurations and security incidents - Able to think clearly about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact - Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments Nice to Have - Experience in cloud security engineering, DevSecOps, or penetration testing - Familiarity with cloud security frameworks (CIS Benchmarks, CSPM tools, etc.) - Background in incident response or cloud threat modeling - Security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, etc.) Why Join Us - Work directly on frontier AI systems with top research labs - Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule - Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration - Make a tangible impact on how AI reasons about real-world cloud security - Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
