Role Title: Senior Field Service Technician Pay: $40–$60/hour Location: Global, fully remote Job Type: Contractor (~10 hours per week) Schedule: Flexible—you can choose the hours and days you work, including weekends if desired as long as you're active micro1 is engaging Senior Field Service Technicians to contribute expertise on a customer’s technical project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. Scope of Work 1. Review and interpret complex electrical schematics, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams to assess equipment function and fault pathways. 2. Diagnose faults and performance issues in industrial, HVAC, elevator, heavy equipment, marine, rail, utility, or telecom systems using technical documentation. 3. Analyze PLC logic and industrial controls to identify root causes of operational issues and recommend evidence-based solutions. 4. Evaluate compliance with relevant US codes (NFPA 70/79, ASME A17.1, OSHA) and highlight code-specific requirements based on real project scenarios. Preferred Qualifications 1. 8+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience in industrial, HVAC, elevator, hydraulic, heavy vehicle, marine, rail, utility, or telecom equipment. 2. Deep familiarity with PLC programming, industrial controls, and fault-finding processes. 3. Strong working knowledge of US safety and operational codes (NFPA 70/79, ASME A17.1, OSHA). Process 1.
