Private Equity Associate – Real Estate (US)
About this role
Mercor is hiring experienced private equity associates to build a financial model from a synthetic deal document pack, then peer-review models built by two other contractors on the same transaction. What you'll do - Build a working financial model of an assigned real estate transaction from a synthetic deal document pack - Deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions - Peer-review two anonymized models from other contractors against a fixed set of criteria, with a short written rationale for each and a completed review scorecard Requirements - 2–4 years total experience: ~2 years investment banking (Real Estate or Industrials) followed by 1–2 years in private equity - Currently or recently an Associate at a real-estate-focused mid-market or upper-mid-market PE fund - Able to build a financial model from source documents, without a template - Fluent English Logistics - Effort: ~20–25 hours over 1.5–2 weeks
